Most people, when they see the commercials on TV, are tempted to fill out one of the cards above and become a member of the organizations, but the majority of their money doesn't go to help animals in shelters.
So where does their money actually go?
For example, during Hurricane Katrina, ASPCA and HSUS made millions of dollars through donations to help the animals impacted by the hurricane. HSUS used less than $7 million of that money on helping the animals.
